A convivial area for visitors to the region and local residents to meet, relax and enjoy first class refreshments in the small cosy areas that make up the lovely country pub that is the Assheton Arms.  During the warmer summer months the tables and seating to the front of the building serve as an extension and one from which to enjoy lovely country views as well as the unique appeal of Downham itself.

Monday to Friday: between 12 noon and 3.00 pm and between 6.00 pm and 11.00 pm.
Saturday: between 12 noon and 11.00 pm.
Sunday: between 12 noon and 10.30 pm
